Mother's Day
Well done to our wonderful Butterfly class for such an amazing Mother’s Day assembly today! You sang so beautifully and spoke with so much love about your Mummy’s. It was truly heart-warming to see how proud you all were and how much you care. It was so special to see all the smiles as you shared cake together and gave your thoughtful gifts at the end. Thank you for making it such a memorable celebration for all the Mummy's who came along. We are so proud of you!

World Book Day
We celebrated world book by dressing up as our favourite book character and took part in a variety of book activities.

Balance Bikes
Our Reception children have been having a fantastic time taking part in Balance Bikes sessions! These activities help them build confidence, coordination, and balance – all important skills for learning how to ride a pedal bike.
Through fun games and activities, the children are learning how to glide, steer, and control their bikes safely. It’s wonderful to see their confidence grow each week as they practise and support one another.
Well done to all of our little riders for their brilliant effort and enthusiasm!

Chinese New Year Celebrations
Our Reception class had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year! The children enjoyed learning about the festival and taking part in some exciting activities.
We created beautiful lanterns, watched and joined in with a lively dragon dance, and even had the chance to taste delicious Chinese spring rolls. The classroom was full of colour, music and lots of smiles!
It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to explore a cultures around the world, try new foods and celebrate together.
Happy Chinese New Year to everyone celebrating!

People Who Help Us- Father Benedict
Today our Reception class had a very special visitor as part of our “People Who Help Us” topic. We were delighted to welcome Father Benedict, who came to talk to the children about his important role in the community.
The children listened carefully as he explained what he does in his job, how he helps people, and what happens in a church. They asked some fantastic questions and showed wonderful curiosity and respect.
It was a lovely opportunity for the children to learn about different roles that help our community. Thank you for visiting us and sharing your time and knowledge!

People Who Help Us - Junk Modellling
Our amazing Reception children became young designers and engineers this week! Using recycled “junk” materials, they designed and built their very own emergency vehicles.
From fire engines to ambulances and police cars, the children used their imagination, problem-solving skills, and creativity to turn everyday materials into fantastic vehicles. They carefully planned their ideas and worked hard to bring their designs to life.
We are so proud of their teamwork, creativity, and brilliant thinking. What an incredible fleet of emergency vehicles they created!
Well done, Reception!

Supertato - The Hero Returns!
Huge well done to our amazing Reception children for capturing the Evil Pea and bringing our hero Supertato home! The children worked incredibly hard creating “WANTED” posters which we displayed all around the school. Thanks to the sharp ears of 2 of our Year 4s, who heard mysterious noises coming from the PE cupboard and reported back, we discovered the Evil Pea hiding with Supertato locked in a cage! What fantastic teamwork and problem-solving from everyone involved. Special congratulations to the Butterflies for solving the case — we are so proud of you all!

Where is Supertato???
The Butterflies arrived to find Supertato who they had left watching TV yesterday—has DISAPPEARED! His friends were found stuck and trapped, and after some top-notch detective work, the children have cracked the case… All clues point to one culprit: EVIL PEA! Wanted posters are now being made—keep your eyes peeled! Updates coming soon…

This term we look forward to our topics, People Who Help Us and Under the Sea! We will also be leanring about special celebrations and balance bike sessions!

Twinkle Twinkle we are stars!
Humpty Dumpty
The Butterfly Class were shining bright as we began our topic “Twinkle Twinkle We Are Stars!” They have enjoyed learning about their first nursery rhyme, Humpty Dumpty! The children had so much fun trying to put him back together again using tape, plasters, glue and even staples. They also made their very own playdough Humpty Dumpty's and crafted brilliant dangling Humpty Dumpty's with carefully folded paper arms and legs. What a cracking start to our new adventure!

Incy Wincy Spider
We have made our very own Incy Wincy Spider's using playdough! We had lots of fun moulding and sculpting our little spider friends!

Tour of the School
We have been on a tour of our new school. We saw lots of books in the library, met the office staff and went in all the other classrooms where some of us even bumped into a few familiar faces!

Reception Reading and Phonics Workshop
The Butterflies had a fantastic morning and evening taking part in lots of exciting and fun Phonic activities. The children and even the adults were excited to splat the sound, spin the wheel and catch the ping pong balls to practise their letter recognition. The chidlren also practised their blending in a variety of ways and practised their name writing. Thank you to all the parents that attended! The chidlren wanted to do it all again!
