Week 9 - Spellings - Suffix 'ly' Quiz on 21.11.25
Year 4 chopped and crimped their very own Italian-style pasties today! They did a fantastic job. Full of colour, packed with Mediterranean veggies, and smelling like pure sunshine. Mixed reviews when it came to eating them… but 10/10 for effort and enthusiasm!

Today, Owls welcomed their families into school for a special stay and pray session to celebrate World Kindness Day. Together, we closed our eyes and listened to the story of the Good Samaritan, taking time to reflect on the power and importance of kindness in our daily lives. It was a calm, thoughtful and prayerful moment to share as a community. Thank you to all the families who joined us, your presence made it even more meaningful.

A little bit (or huge downpour!) of rain didn’t stop our amazing Y4 children from having a wonderful time at Forest School today! They worked together to build shelters, shared smiles, and showed so much kindness and teamwork throughout the day. As part of Anti-Bullying Week, it’s been lovely to see everyone supporting one another — proving that even on the rainiest days, a little teamwork and friendship can make the biggest difference.

Anti-Bullying Week: Our Kindness Pledge
To celebrate Anti-Bullying Week, the Owls created their very own Kindness Pledge. Each child thought carefully about how they could show kindness to others and wrote their personal promise on a heart. They then decorated their hearts beautifully and added them to our Owl Class Kindness Heart – a colourful reminder that kindness starts with each of us. Together, we’re making our classroom a place where everyone feels safe, valued, and loved.

Remembrance Service at Saint Augustine's High School
Some of our Year 4 children visited Saint Augustine’s High School to take part in a special Remembrance service. They represented our school beautifully and showed great respect throughout. A special well done for reading the bidding prayers so reverently. We are so proud of you.

Year 4 had a fantastic morning on Monday, visiting the historic Roman town of Droitwich Spa!
The children explored the beautiful Church of the Sacred Heart and St Catherine of Alexandria and were amazed by the stunning mosaic artwork that tells so many wonderful stories. They also had the chance to create their very own mosaic tiles with the help of the amazing church volunteers. A big thank you to everyone at the church for making our visit so special!

Spellings - Week 8 - Suffix 'ation' Quiz on 14.11.25
Welcome back to Autumn 2!
We’ve been learning how to write a clear set of instructions — ready for when we cook our very own Italian-themed pasties! To inspire our ideas, we held a Mediterranean tasting session, sampling delicious ingredients like basil, tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines and garlic. The children’s faces said it all — some loved the new flavours… and others weren’t so sure!

The Owls were inspired by the beautiful music and heritage of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. As they listened to his powerful compositions, they expressed their feelings through art — using watercolours, felts, pastels, chalks and pencils to capture the rhythm, emotion and movement of the music. The results were stunning! The children experimented with texture, colour and line to show how the music made them feel — turning sound into visual art.

The Owls Class have been learning all about Martin Luther King Jr. in our music lesson this week.
We listened to a beautiful song called “Martin Luther King” that told the story of how he was a peaceful protector who inspired change through kindness and courage. The children then designed their own posters to share all the new knowledge they’ve learned about his life and message of peace.

An Egg-cellent Surprise!
